Not to stereotype by saying all head bangers and punkers are tattooed and pierced, but does anyone have any musical tributes on their bodies? or any horror stories of the time your nose ring was riped out while hardcore dancing?

| | Subject: Piercings and Tatts | Posted: February 6, 2008 @ 2:14 PM | | Amazingly enough I have no tats and just earring piercings. My hubby is the one with all of that. He's an old school metalhead. I'm afraid of needles and wanted a tongue piercing and some tats but I have to build up my nerve. I'm not getting any younger almost 33 and may get my first tat for my birthday next month.
I remember almost six years ago seeing Phil Anselmo's new band after Pantera back then "Down" at the Roseland when I first started dating my hubby John. We were right in front of the stage and Pepper Kenan gave us a nod. Phil was shitfaced that night and people kept throwing bags of pot at the stage. At one point a pit started up and these skinny bimbos tried to push past me my sister in law Krissy and even pulled her boyfriend Al's hair to push him out the way. My sister in law whaled on them and punched one of them in the face. I though I was going to get caught in the middle between the growing pit and the fight but the bimbos backed off and fled and the pit calmed down. I almost got bruised up but it wasn't to be. Whew! Close call there.
Since then I've seen this band perform again recently in March of 2007 again at the Roseland but this time I was on the sidelines away from the stage. My hubby John went in the pit though and complained his neck hurt because he thrashed so hard.

i hate pits. my husband and i like to get as close to the stage as possible at shows and always end up on the edge of the pit. it's scary in there. lol

Went to Taste of Chaos about 10 months after I had this done:
And I made sure the shirt I wore showed off my back for two reasons...(a) if you have it, flaunt it and (b) to warn off any moshers from using me as a catapult.
Well...
1/2 way through the show some little arse decided to use my back to launch himself into the crowd. I know, you're thinking "honest mistake, he probably didn't see your back" except about 5 minutes before he used me as a stepping stool for crowd surfing we were chatting about my back and he was asking me if it hurt blah blah blah. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Soooooooo...
I have 2 piercings ripped out, 2 more rejected soon there after, and I just gave up on the whole damn thing. Blood everywhere, some nasty scars, and one of the most excruciatingly painful experiences of my life.
I am currently designing another celtic piece to cover up the scars.

i've two large tatts on my right and left upper arms....a medusa on my right and a "COOP" style pin-up on my left....a rose on my left calf and a tribal band around my left ankle....
as 4 piercings, i've got a ring in my right nostril and a total of 12 in both ears (8 on the left and 4 on the right)...
no horror stories 4 me....yet..... {{shudder}}

| | Subject: Piercings and Tatts | Posted: October 27, 2008 @ 9:34 PM | | hey i thought i would introduce my self 2 the group by sharing with u my story of piercing pain... i have 2 agree with some other comments here, that going 2 gigs with new piercings is not always the best of moves.
when i first got my lip pierced i went 2 a gig with a few friends. i was enjoying my self and really getting into the mood of things when a guy climbed onto the stage and jumped off. this would have been fine if he hadnt launched his self in my direction and kicked me right in the mouth. it wasn't pleasent at all and i left shortly after with a very swollen bleeding lip and a chipped tooth. after that incident i had 2 sadly retire the peircing  so i know only have 2 on my bottom lip... but hey we all learn for our mistakes |

I did, however.. have my nipple piercings ripped out while playing rugby.
