Here's the story: I'm of Scottish ancestry and I'm also an artist. Needless to say, I draw lots of Celtic knots and one of them (an original design) made it onto my right ankle. A few months later, I was shopping and I noticed a silver brooch with almost exactly the same design I had made and had tattooed! Talk about weird co-incidences! Needless to say, I'm now the proud owner of a cool tattoo and matching brooch. | |

I have tat designs a friend has drawn for me but none yet. I'm trying to screw up my courage to get a tat hopefully this year. We shall see. I'd love a tat of a dragon, sunburst, a barbed wire arm band, a cross, etc. for now. I just have to get it over with ya know?

I've noticed (and heard from friends) that it really depends on where you get the tattoo as to how much it hurts.
Good luck! |

Tam, go for it sweetie! I'll come out to NY and hold your hand or you can come visit me in MA to see my (cute and awesome) tat artist! He's bloody amazing and he's a "light touch" with his needle so the "pain" is minimum...and while I am a freak, even my best friend (zero pain tolerance) says it barely hurt! Seriously, I can't stand getting shots but the rush of new ink or new piercings is sooooooooooooo stellar that it never even phased me...plus, looks nothing like a creepy doc needle!

| | | | | | Subject: Tattoos!! | Posted: May 13, 2008 @ 12:04 AM | | | I love Tattos! So far it's just been admiring them from afar, but this sunday I'm hoping to have my own to admire! I plan on getting a cherry blossom branch along the top of my foot with a treble clef done in white ink kinda behind the branch. I heard that the top of the foot is one of the most painful places, so i'm a little nervous. I'll do it though because I want it so bad. |
