I have a son with severe disabilities...he has cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, profound developmental delays, tracheostomy tube, a g-tube, needs a suction machine, needs oxygen during the night and humified air, has a feeding pump that goes on during the night, lots of medications...and if that wasn't enough all the paper work that entails with him getting his proper medical care..I just got informed that we have to switch to a different medi-cal waiver program because he no longer qualifies based on his use of energy...(don't know how) but the person in charge is on vacation and won't return until the new year.......the problem lies that he may not get his nursing until this is cleared up, because there may be a lapse of coverage........ enough to make go
this is a great group to just let me vent..
but on the positive side michael (my son) is healthy and doing very well and my husband, who is also disabled, is doing well to....we just have to make sure his medications are filled.......
thanks for letting me |

Come and vent anytime, because one thing we all can relate to is the stress and difficulty of living with a disability or caring for someone with a disability. I hope you enjoy the group girl! |

I spoke with the person in charge of michael's program and she told me that all she has to do is contact the nursing agency and let them know that know she has to come out to my house for 2 hrs a year this means twice a year for one hour at a time, but I have no paper work to do....Things looking good.
