| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: July 7, 2008 @ 8:40 AM | | I didnt want to start a new thread...Any updates?? i just ordered a starter pack. I want to lose at least 10-20 lbs. Pls post if anyone has taken it or any feedback |
| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: July 8, 2008 @ 10:36 PM | | Ugh, I REALLY wouldn't recommend it...it's the same stuff that Xenical was. Don't know if you had any experience with that but I have and whoooo let me tell you it was not good at all. The details are messy and graphic, so I don't want to turn any stomachs... |
| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: July 9, 2008 @ 7:24 AM | | I never have taken xenical, alli is suppose to be half the strength. I;ll try it one day or two and see. Ive read about the side effects. According to them if u eat less than 15grams of fat you wont get side effects.
I'll take with caution |
| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: August 6, 2008 @ 7:02 PM | | In my opinion, I don't really think any diet pills work (and I've tried a lot of them).
Ali seems to have a more promising concept, I just won't take it due to the side effects!
Let us know how you're doing, I might try it if you're happy with it! Give us the good and the bad news! |
| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: August 6, 2008 @ 10:12 PM | | Well I started taking it, i was very nervous about the side effects.
They warn you about eating more than 15-19grams of fat per meal like 100 times in their lil books.
I normally eat low fat, no beef/pork, chicken breast/turkey, rarely anything fried. I work out (even though I've been slacking cause my mom has some medical issues) 3-4 times a week. Eat good 90% of the time.
I have been gaining some weight even tho my good efforts, I blame stress and comfy in my relationship lol we both looovee to eat
I took it last Monday the 28th, had my usual cereal w/coffee, had something light for lunch n dinner (home made fajitas), the next day I felt bloated/gassy but nothing crazy. TMI but I normally go 1-2x a day, i went 4 NORMAL not diarrhea or uncontrollable not anything crazy. That was the most extreme effect i've had so far. After that I went the normal bm times.
I went away to the weekend to the Jersey Shore so I didnt take it Fri to Monday, cuz i kno i was gonna eat some funnel cake, curly fries n nothing really good for me
Started again Tuesday, and i've been okay. I kno not to take it when I eat something I think will be higher in fat.
You just gotta look at labels, if ur not sure of fat content don't take the pill, like take out.
It is suppose to cut 25% of the fat you eat.
Oh I lost 1 lb the second day, but gained it back cause I got my monthly and splurged this weekend.
Keep ya posted if anyone cares, PM if you really wanna know, or wanna talk, etc.
I just wanna lose 20-30 lbs or at least 10.

| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: August 7, 2008 @ 7:52 AM | | Wow. I never really thought I "needed" Alli because I only eat like once maybe twice a day anyway...or so I thought....I'm gaining weight again and I don't like it. So I'm definitely going to give this a look. What I really need to do is talk to my doc.
Ugh...the doc. |
| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: August 7, 2008 @ 8:20 AM | | Eating only 1-2 times a day can slow your metabolism down causing you to gain weight. Eating 5-6 small meals a day actually speeds up your metabolism and helps you to lose weight as long as it is healthy foods. Do not skip breakfast either. All you need is like a egg and 1 piece of whole wheat toast for breakfast, small piece of fruit for a snack, a salad or sandwich for lunch, another piece of fruit for mid afternoon, a healthy dinner, and drink water. Of course exercise is extremely important also. I have a eating plan blogged on my page that helped me get started on eating healthier and I lost 6 pounds the first week. Cutting sugar and salt to the bare minimum helped me so much also. Now I actually get sick to my stomach if I have to much of either one. I strongly suggest you do not diet, but change your lifestyle. Baby steps can lead to amazing results. Change 1-2 things at a time. Good luck on your journey! I will be cheering for you. |
| | | | | | Subject: Alli anyone??? | Posted: August 7, 2008 @ 2:34 PM | | I'd definite rather do this then take pills. I will definitely be implementing this soon. I never really thought about it slowing my metabolism but since you mentioned it...it makes complete and utter sense! Thank you! I'm definite going on the less sugar and salt the better plan. I can give up salt but sugar has always been my vice. Thank you so much! |
