| | Subject: Weight Loss Surgery | Posted: December 1, 2007 @ 9:58 AM | | Hello all
I had weight loss surgery (gastric bypass, Rouen-Y) on August 2nd, 2007.
I was wondering if there might be any other curvy chicks out there who have also had this surgery, and if I could help, offer advice or just share with you. I'd also love to find out how you're doing with your eating and weight loss.
Also, if you'd like more information on the surgery please let me know! It is truly life changing in so many ways.
Feel free to e-mail me or respond to this message.

| | | | | | Subject: Weight Loss Surgery | Posted: August 9, 2008 @ 1:43 PM | | I had gastric bypass in January of 2006. So, I've been through it. I was not as successful as some, but I still lost 85 lbs! So, I wouldn't change a thing. I feel like I wouldn't have done it by myself without a drastic step. I was lactose intollerant for the first six months, but I lost all my weight during the time and I was living on Propel water for a few months there. It took me longer to be able to eat regular food. I gained back almost 30 llbs, but after 2 years, I'd still say it worked!
I still get sick if I overeat. I think it has helped me a lot in regards to keeping me from eating too much. The hardest part for me was not to eat and drink at the same time. I went to a dietician for a year before I had the surgery and it was so worth it. Even though you can not be fully prepared, you at least have a heads up on what to expect.
If you see TXBlondeAngel, she is a member here and she had it done and has had a major weight loss with great results. Maybe she can help you as well! |
