| | Subject: Some women are soooo transparent... | Posted: November 6, 2009 @ 10:23 AM | | OK, well I got engaged (4 years of waiting!) and it is FABULOUS news that NOBODY has the power to belittle ... my 'issue' is why is it that some women (and men too I s'pose) feel they just must, must, must publicise big events that are happening to them (and rightly so...who wouldn't want to share in their happiness?) but..WHY do folk feel they are not able to celebrate others happiness...even if it as obvious as the nose on your face they are making the point NOT to comment!
Is it just plain ol' envy... lets face it the green eyed monster is not attractive creature!
Would you refuse to comment and or congratulate beause of jealousy/ or whatever reason you may choose...or would you leave a message so to make you look interested - even if you weren't?!!

It starts off when we are young when our parents tell us that someone is just jealous when they pick on us. True it may be that way but it sparks the idea that things aren't right unless someone is hating.
The green eyed monster is real i'm a firm believer in it, I myself have been a hater st some point. People need to realize that you to can have and do all the things that the other man is doing you just may need to work harder.
Life is too short for all the rigamaro of hating on someone that has something you want.

lol you are damn right about how you find out whom your friends are at times of great happiness and sadness.
And as for me looking at sparkly rings ... I had no idea Mr Pip was in the midst of purchasing the rock! Good job I was looking..lol gawd knows what ring I would have got if I hadn't have hinted!!!

Wonderfully put...me too..I have been that hater, but with time and experience I would like to think I have learnt to appreciate what I have not what I don't or what somebody else has...personally, I think it just makes you look like a monumental dickhead.
Be gracious...or atleast TRY to be!

Well I read your topic and it got me thinking....I log on here and did read that you got engaged and didn't comment, wanted to but didn't cause of some dispute that happened a while ago. But I've grown over the years (or at least I think I have) so I wanted to sincerely say CONGRATULATIONS!!! I've been a member for a while now and know you've had your steady boyfriend so I think its great that you guys are engaged and I do wish you all the best!!!
As for people that don't comment when something good happens, they are just hating. What I hate, are those who feel the need to downgrade something exciting that has happened to someone. Like putting a negative spin on something exciting that happened. I know a guy like that, he pisses me of. I told him i lost a few pounds and he has the NERVE to say...."oh well you still have a LOT more weight to lose.." Like screw him!
but yeah congratulations  |
