| | Subject: Plus Size Boutiques in your area | Posted: November 6, 2009 @ 12:25 PM | | I am working with a designer on promoting a new line to boutiques across the US. I need your help in recognizing any and all in your areas. I have a list I have been working off of for the last couple of years, but with the changing times, many have gone out of business.
If you know the names of any in your area, please let me know!
Thanks,

If everyone keeps closing, where are we going to shop? |

This is what makes or breaks a business.....those with excellent service will pull through I think.....won't matter what the cost of the clothing will be in the end but what kind of customer service the business can provide to the customer and the quality of the product they are offering......

1. KNOW YOUR CLIENTELE! - You need to know if you're servicing people who can afford $100 dresses or $400 dresses
2. AREA - Is your business in an area conducive to plus-sized traffic? Are you where other businesses are to gain foot traffic?
3. ADVERTISEMENT - How does the public know you exist?

There is one plus size boutique that I know of up in Scottsdale:
Diva
8787 N. Scottsdale Rd.
Scottsdale, AZ 85253
(480) 948-8777

This is in a very high-end part of town so they should be able to support pricier designers. However, I will say the one time I was in there I was not impressed at all with the selection. Not my taste at all-too old lady-ish for me. And very expensive. Svoboda and other trendy designers wouldn't fit in with what they carry at all (but I would sure love it if they did!)
I can also tell you that Flaunt in Nashville, TN has, sadly, closed. There is a great boutique in Chicago called Vive la Femme-I went there when visiting friends/family in WI back in September and it is FABULOUS. I bought 4 great pieces and will make it a must-stop from now on when I go home to visit! The boutique is in the Bucktown neighborhood and carried Kiyonna, Monif C, Cennev and many others...tons of cute stuff!
Vive la Femme

Chicago, IL 60647

Hope this helps!
