| | Subject: Just ordered this dress...Does Avenue run TTS? | Posted: November 5, 2009 @ 11:55 AM | | What do you guys think about this dress. I just ordered it and wasn't sure what size to get. I went with the 18/20 as opposed to the 14/16. I usually wear a size 14 on the bottom but a size 18 on top. Anyone know if Avenue runs true to size and what quality their dresses are? It was so inexpensive it seems too good to be true!

for me their clothes are usually tts or even a bit big..it depends on the style

| | Subject: Just ordered this dress...Does Avenue run TTS? | Posted: November 5, 2009 @ 9:40 PM | | I don't know about their dresses but I can tell you their jeans (and some of their other casual pants) have tons of stretch so I can usually size down. That's one reason I love shopping there because I fit into a smaller size in jeans  and they have a lot of really cute denim right now! I was actually in there this afternoon and they had several cute styles with the fading, rips/tears etc. Looked like premium denim for under $40. I bought a pair a few weeks ago that is now on sale for $25.
I find some of their tops, however, to run a little small. If you ever purchase any 100% cotton tops from there definitely size up, they will shrink in the wash even if you wash cold and air dry.
And I do LOVE that dress-I heart purple!! I think based on the material you were smart to go up a size. Shiny fabric like that shows everything (if you know what I mean) and you don't want it to be too tight. I'm sure it will look great on you! |

I'm just so greedy I don't want to have to wait! LOL! I did get it in the purple. I really like the way purple looks with turquoise jewelry so that's where I was thinking of taking it. And then I remembered that I ordered those Christian Siriano boots from Payless (below) and I'm going to try those out with the dress once I get it for a kind of dressed down dressed up look! | |
