| | Subject: Old Navy to Discontinue Women's Plus In Stores!! | Posted: April 3, 2007 @ 3:15 PM | | Our own Dana has posted this news that while the women's plus line is expanding online, it is being discontinued in stores. There goes ANOTHER option plus size women had. I wrote the company a letter, don't know what good it will do. We need more options when shopping for clothes, not less. *sigh* |

The store in my town claimed to carry them but have a very pitiful selection compared to the website. I would occasionally find things but there is very little consistency in their sizing. It's to bad as it could have been a great alternative for inexpensive trendy clothing. |

In my area there are numerous ON stores that have plus size sections, and good ones at that. They bring in a lot of money and at the end of the day its all econmonics. Are they discontinuing the plus size sections in all ON stores or just the ones in smaller areas? I can't really see them discontinuing these sections in bigger metropolitian areas because they are big money draws, but either way they are making a mistake. |

I live in probably one of the biggest plus size markets in the country and there isn't even a store that has a plus section within 100miles!!!! I do really like their summer dresses this season though! |

| | Subject: Old Navy to Discontinue Women's Plus In Stores!! | Posted: April 3, 2007 @ 5:33 PM | | See, news like this is irritating. We're in transition with our Women's Wear Daily subscription and I can't check online for it. I just went to Yahoo! Finance's board and didn't see a news release.
I've never been to a Women's Plus section in a store. I have ordered online (the chocolate sateen strapless dress). I'd rather try things on. It's puzzling, but I'm also not feeling GPS these days. Still that they are cutting Forth and Towne.

If Old Navy won't service my fashion needs in stores then they don't need to be servicing my fasion needs online either ...Now I can spend my very hard earned money on compaines that actually WANT my business. Too bad for them |

| | Subject: Old Navy to Discontinue Women's Plus In Stores!! | Posted: April 3, 2007 @ 7:06 PM | | I saw this coming anout two months ago when both of my local Old Navy's no longer had a plus section. The only plus peices I could find were scattered throughout the store with the rest of the regular sizes. WTF!
Oh well, like the rest of you said, I'll spend my cash elsewhere. If they don't think I'm important enough to carry my clothes in their store and want to keep me out of the store then I don't need them. It's their loss, I've have spending issues they could have made a killing off of me.

| | Subject: Old Navy to Discontinue Women's Plus In Stores!! | Posted: April 3, 2007 @ 7:35 PM | | | I rarely buy clothes online, unless I know my size from a store (example, LB bras never disappoint, so I can order them online). I need to try clothes on, so I for one thing it's an extremely stupid move for Old Navy to change the line to online only. The women's plus line was pretty sloppy, though. The bottoms ran too big and the shirts were always "off". Still, it's nice to have options, and it sucks when it's taken away. When GAP dropped the Forth and Town line, the Old Navy Women's Plus wasn't too far behind I guess. Why they don't care about the plus size market is beyond me. |
