I am soooooo pissed off!  As you well know ladies we had a thread a month or so ago regarding Urban Legends. One of the topics was about House of Dereon Plus size jeans. I added a topic on the thread regarding Ebay selling House of Dereon Plus size jeans. Well I took the chance and ordered a pair in size 18. I first contacted the seller asking if they were authentic and got back a quick answer from her saying that they were authentic and that she didnt know why no one believes that House of Dereon makes plus size jeans. Well to make a longer story shorter, I received the jeans, they smelled of chinese food and the threading on the bottom of the jeans were not aligned as well as the emblem (round circle thingie) is missing from the top of the house of dereon tagging on back of jeans. On a positive note, I did try on the jeans and they do fit but the jean material is cheap. The back pockets has the exact design as the original. I gave the ebay member a bad rating and explained of the smell and the missing items and aligned problems. I am just warning you ladies just in case you were interested. Its not worth 97.00 and on top of that I have to take it to the cleaners to get the SMELL OUT!

I was SO CLOSE to ordering a pair, but for some reason I didn't go through with it. I went to the Citi-Trends by me and they did not have them. I am starting to think that all of the plus HOD stuff is fake. But on the other hand, I am starting to like some of the stuff in the Miss Tina line.........(waits for sale). |

Unfortunately at this time we do not have a plus size line. A XL would be about 39-40 IN in the bust line.

| | | | | | Subject: Ebay House of Dereon Plus Size Jeans gone bad!!!!! | Posted: October 23, 2007 @ 9:09 AM | | | damn!!! i can't believe they were selling them for $100! regular price HOD jeans at the mall are like $70-80! they had one style on sale for $31. i only tried on one pair and they suffocated my calves lol. i didn't even continue to pull them up! it might have been the cut of that jean but i didn't bother trying on another pair cause i was in a hurry. i thought they'd be cut for curvier bums since beyonce has some hips herself but i'd have to go a size bigger than i wear in applebottoms or most other jeans. anyway, i'm sorry you lost out on that! i've never bought off ebay and that's pretty much why! |

Beyonce seems to bounce between being a roll model for real sized women to dieting herself down to an unnecessary thinness. There was just no reason she needed to be that thin for her role in Dream Girls.
She and her mother are brilliant designers, but they seem behind the curve on plus size acceptance. |

I am a faithful Torrid shopper and I sit at a computer all day, so every morning I check out new arrivals at Torrid.com. I was surprised to see a House of Dereon shirt. I am not that interested in this shirt, but hopefully there will be more where that came from. =) I find it weird that a representative on the House of Dereon site would say they don't have a plus size line when they are showing a shirt on Torrid.com. I hope they hurry cause I want a pair of jeans myself, and I wouldnt mind a cute little jacket too =)
