I just joined this site and it seems pretty interesting to me. The whole premise is that you are posting up all your paperbacks that you no longer desire up for other members to choose from. In return you can request books you desire and they will ship it to YOU for free. If/when someone requests a book from you, you pay for shipping it to them (usually 2.13 or around there) and drop it in the mailbox. (I believe they even have their own convenient mailing label print system.)

You need to post at least 10 paperbacks to earn your first 2 credits. Only when you have credits can you request a book from other members and they will mail them to you for free. For every book people request from you and you send you will receive a credit.

I for one think its an absolutely splendid idea because books seem to accumulate around me and lord knows if I'll ever read them again anytime soon. This way my books get loved and I can always get another copy when the mood strikes me. They do this for DVD's and CD's as well and as far as I know you can intermix credits and link your accounts from all three sites.

If you're interested and you sign-up and you can put me as the referrer. My user name is hokte of course. No sweat if you don't though. I don't know what exactly the point of doing so would or wouldn't be. *shrugs*

Have fun!

Ooooooooooh, so tempting! I like it because you don't have to worry about people screwing you over...if they don't send the book, no biggie because you didn't pay for the book to be sent your way.

I have a ton of books. I have trouble parting with them though because I drop upwards of $200/mo on reading material! I'll have to think about it!

I re-read books. Maybe that's why I am so reluctant to try?? *laughs* I'll think about posting some of my books that i know I won't re-read.

Indeed. I totally do that as well. I justified it to myself...again...that if I TRULY want to re-read them...I can alway re-request them. (and cross my fingers someone has it)

I love this site too!! I was hesitant to post some of the books because I as well like to read them over. Then I got to thinking. I'm into about 5 different Series of books if I want to move on and read the rest of them this is a great way to get credit and more books. So, I posted my books and they were snatched up quick. I mailed them today and a few were extra heavy so I mailed them Media mail instead of First Class. Which takes a bit longer.
I really want to thank mhuirnin and if someone can let her know her book recommendations to me helped so much. I wish I could find the list on here my pc had to be restored and I lost it.
So far I'm reading
The mortal instruments series Cassandra Claire. Only read the first one so far!
House of Night novels by P.C Cast I'm on book two Betrayed
Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong. OMG I think Bitten is one of my favorite books since Twilight. I just love Clay.
I read Skinned by Robin Wasserman that was a pretty good read. Easy and quick
I also just got Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr. Haven't opened it yet.

I seem to like the young adult Vamp and Werewolf books. The Kelley Armstrong ones are like that but they have sex too heh which is kinda nice :o) I want to try some Witch and Ghost ones always loved Ghosts.
