Hey everyone! My friends and I are always having this debate...Could you accept a ring if your man brought you a CZ instead of a real diamond?? If he did give you a CZ would you rather him tell you or not? Also does size really matter? Personally, being that I have big fingers I feel that I should have something that will not disappear on my finger. Im curious to know what you all think.....

Diamonds are forever! I would accept but I need to know I am rocking less than the real. Size matters to some degree but my ring is only 2K and splendid. I would rather have an arrangement of diamonds that equal like 2K or better than one gaudy rock!

..gotta admit I think folk are too damn fussy/spoilt/demanding/high maintenance etc etc when it comes to something like an Engagement Ring..the ring is meant to signify a union of 2 people..not whom earns the most £$£$ and can buy the best damned ring!

Personally, if I was that set on a real diamond I would either 1. wait until funds allow or 2. get off my arse and contribute to the funds to buy the ring. If it is ok nowadays to state what type/stone/size you would WANT then it is bloody ok for you to assist in the purchasing of it!!

Size of stone on big fingers..this is an issue I have and agree that I too would not want a ring that the stones look like a bitta fluff on my finger..so, that means either saving more £$£$£, losing some llbs on the pinkies or going for a CZ at a cheaper price.

CZ - IMO look cheaper as generally they are made into mahoooooooooosive sized pretend diamonds that you would see on a celebs finger..now, unless we are all decked out in designer this and that..it wouldnt take Inspector Poirot to figure out your ring is a fake..I say go for a medum size ring to make it look classy and modest...who gives a damn how many carats you have or not in your bling..?

...I have to ask tho' there is no mention of any other stones other than Diamonds and CZ..WHY do folk seem to have to have a diamond..?

I know I wont be...

My co worker received a CZ for her Temporary Engagement ring, then got the real thing a few months later.

I personally am not a big fan of diamonds, which is why my e-ring is my birthstone Aquamarine. It is beautiful and looks nicer than any of the diamonds I tried on. Plus it is unique like me.

I hate diamonds with a passion, but I love CZ's

My ring has a middle stone of ruby (my birth stone) and small diamonds on each side.

I recieved a CZ, I am okay with it, don't really want to be walking around with a real diamond. But my only complaint is that its to big, my fingers are kinda long and to me it looks fake. I didn't want it to look so fake.

P.S- The reason's I new it was fake. A. It just looked to big and B. The hubby left the price tag on it. lol

My Husband asked me with a CZ and it was really nice, not a diamond knock off either, it was a sapphire colored CZ. I liked it SO much I demanded he tell me where he got it. If anyone is looking for really nice, inexpensive CZ rings here's where my husband got mine:

I would honestly prefer a real diamond, but only if my boyfriend could afford it. I wouldn't want him spending mass amounts of money on a ring and then being broke for the next twenty years just to pay it off. But a diamond doesn't have to be expensive, and for something like this, I think it's okay to hope that the proposer won't be cheap just for the sake of being cheap. Personally, if I were a man proposing to someone, I'd want them to have the best I can give them. If that's CZ, then that's wonderful, as well. I joke with my boyfriend about wanting a Tiffany's ring, since he plans on being a rock star, but obviously I don't care where the ring comes from as long as it's nice and he proposes.

Hell, if my boyfriend ever proposes I'll probably be too blinded by tears to even see what the ring looks like anyway. LOL!
